The First Show

The sheer excitement of the first show was magical. I was the first one besides April to see and judge the kids interaction. They all seemed to be surrounded with a vile of innocence and curiosity. I honestly had forgotten what it was like to be that age. The boys are awkwardly small the girls are awkwardly tall and you still haven’t quite been corrupted. The first show went very well and you could feel the excitement of the kids. It was magical how into the play the kids were. Uhmmm

Tech Rehearsal

In all honesty, the play didn’t seem real until we were all up on the stage under the lights, navigating entrances and exits, figuring out light cues and such. Funny how that can change your whole perspective and it evoke emotions such as excitement and nervousness, yet there isn’t an audience yet to induce those emotions.

The one thing that i can say about tech is that it is very, very long. Tech is where you figure out what light cues works or don’t work, what sound cues need adjusting, entrances and exits that need to be perfected so the day tends to be very long , and there is a lot of waiting involved.

For the most part people tended to discover something new in tech and bring more to the table because they said it felt more real, in addition to this, the company got really really close as we were spending time in such close proximity as well as eating and carpooling together, and i believe that really helped the show come full circle. Everyone did such a wonderful job and worked so hard
